Gone are the days when sleepovers involved a couple of kids sleeping on sofa cushions in the lounge, watching movies on a small screen tv, eating dib dabs and popcorn and putting on clay masks from beauty stores that dried out your skin.
Now the new rage is teepee sleepovers! And it's not just us regular folk having them, there's a list of celebrities also holding teepee parties for their children.
To name a few Rochelle Humes, Peter Andre, Sam Faiers, Myleene Klass, Abbey Clancey, Robbie Williams, Kimberley Walsh and Amanda Holden.
Now you might be wondering if it's cheaper to buy your own teepees and make your own sleepover (you can buy a plain teepee from Amazon for £35) but here we will break down the differences and involvement in making a teepee party work.
Costs to buy in the teepees for a party of 5
To buy 5 teepees we're talking £150, these a for your cheaper teepees which don't have the same soft fabrics as the ones on Bramble & Me.
Then you need 5 mattresses or air beds which again can range from £50 a £100 each - taking the total to £250 - £500.
You then need 5 bedsheets, 5 blankets, 5 duvets, 5 duvet covers, 5 pillows and 5 pillow cases. Let's call it £200 at a minimum.
Then if you want the add ons such as fairy lights, dinner trays, sweets, popcorn, face masks you're looking at another £100.
So really it's totalling around £700.
Our rental packages start from £200.
Now this is okay if you plan to host teepee sleepovers on a regular basis but it also doesn't take into account the work that goes into putting these together.
Time
On average it takes us around 2 hours to put a teepee party together once we are on site, we do ask our customers to create a clear space for us as we can't be rearranging someone's lounge but it's still time consuming to construct the perfect setting for your little ones.
Where would you put your sleepover party goers?
We recommend putting them somewhere out of your way (we all know slumber parties can go on until the early hours and involve a lot of giggling and shrieking), somewhere spacious and somewhere with a television or electricity for a television.
We strongly recommend measuring up as well and we provide measurements for you, but teepees take up a surprising amount of room! We say around 7.5' x 3.5' per teepee and tray. Additionally around 6 inch space between each one.
An alternative we offer is having 1 teepee per 2 children depending on their age and size, or only have 3 teepees but 5 mattresses (just be ready to mediate any fall outs).
What other packages can you include?
We can include most things, need a balloon arch? We've got you covered with our connections. It also means you're not waiting in all day for deliveries of balloons and other party bits! We've got your back!
Sleepover Party Favours
What about a teddy bear (check out our website for some adorable bears) , sleep mask, scrunchies, hair turbans, dressing gowns, face masks - just remember to ask parents about any allergies beforehand.
Ideas for sleepover parties
Keeping young ones entertained isn't hard these days with tik tok and group chats but if you want to have a phone free night why not think about, baking, pizza making, pamper nights, nail painting, karaoke or create a popular quiz.
